Grocery store culture shock! Isn’t it strange? Your week sounds wonderful, I like the not-getting-out-of-your-pj’s thing. You deserve it!

“… permission not even to get out of my sleep clothes” - a definite must on any such list. And I, too, love the smell of wet grass and dirt.
Happy creating, g

I recommend the Ralphs on Ventura (at Vineland).
It’s massive and, most importantly, has a GIANT candy aisle with canister-upon-canister of sweet-treat goodness (by the pound!).

Hi Wendy,
I’m loving your lists. reading ‘wearing flip-flops is strange’ makes me think of times when I’ve travelled and gone from one climate to an opposite climate in the space of a few hours on an aeroplane. It takes a little while to acclimatise sometimes so it’s a good thing you gave yourself a couple of days to get used to everything.
Cheers, lj

shari - giving myself permission, but I don’t know how well I am following it!
johanna - I love the huge grocery stores…that would be in the pro list all by itself
lisa s - not quite that far north…the central coast
gracia - the smells and remember the power of the smells is pretty amazing
anne - the funny thing about california itself is that you don’t have to go very far to have a major shift in climate or geography
michelle - thank you!!
maditi - the road trip was really nice
hanttula - giant candy aisle is amazing
louise - totally taking some time getting used to things, plus my toes are in shock!
